Select members of the Parking BOXX team gathered for a team building event at the Mohawk Racetrack and Casino. This is a harness racing track, which is a form of racing where horses race at a specific gait (“trot” or “pace”) while pulling a two-wheeled vehicle and driver (a sulky). This is a 7/8 mile track made of crushed limestone.
For many attendees, this was their first time at the races. More experienced attendees explained how odds worked, how to place bets, but the newbies didn't have any troubles cheering for their favorites. It was interesting to learn about the betting process and definitely thrilling to watch the races live - and watch our horses win!
We had some lucky winners both at the slots and the races as well as our own internal company contests.
It was an enjoyable evening of good food, horse races and slots - our heartfelt thanks to the organizers for a wonderful evening !
